Privacy Policy
UniReto (iOS) · Last updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how UniReto ("the App") handles information when you use our iOS application, available on the Apple App Store. UniReto is a universal remote control app designed to help you discover and control compatible Smart TVs and connected devices from your phone or tablet.
1. Information Involved in Using UniReto
UniReto does not require you to create an account to use its core remote-control features. The App is designed to work primarily by communicating with devices on your local network. Depending on the features you use, the following may apply:
- Local network access: UniReto uses local network access to discover compatible TVs and connected devices on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone or tablet, and to send remote-control commands to a device you choose to connect to.
- Device information for pairing: To connect and communicate with a TV or device, UniReto may need to read basic technical information about that device (such as its network address or device name) that the device itself broadcasts on the local network. This information is used only to establish and maintain the connection.
- Microphone access: If UniReto includes voice-control functionality, microphone access may be requested only when you actively use that feature, in order to send voice commands to a compatible connected device.
- Screen mirroring/casting: If you use a screen mirroring or casting feature, the App facilitates a direct connection between your device and the compatible TV/device for that purpose.
- Local app settings: Preferences such as saved devices, favorite shortcuts, or display settings are stored locally on your device so the App remembers your setup between sessions.
- Purchases: If you buy a premium feature or subscription, that transaction is processed by Apple through your Apple ID. UniReto only stores a local record of your premium status on your device to unlock the relevant features.
2. How This Information Is Used
- To discover and connect to compatible TVs and devices on your local network
- To send the remote-control, navigation, playback, and other commands you initiate
- To enable optional features such as voice control or screen mirroring, where used
- To remember your device list and app preferences between sessions
- To unlock premium features after a valid purchase
3. Data Storage & Sharing
Local network communication used to discover and control devices happens directly between your phone/tablet and the connected device on your own network. We do not currently operate servers that store your device list, usage activity, or remote-control commands, and we do not sell your personal information. We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking services within UniReto.
4. Third-Party Services
Purchases and subscriptions, where offered, are processed by Apple through the Apple App Store, and are subject to Apple's own privacy practices. UniReto communicates directly with third-party TVs and connected devices you choose to pair with; those devices are manufactured and operated by their respective companies, which have their own privacy practices for their hardware and firmware.
5. Your Choices
You can control permissions such as local network access and microphone access through your device's system settings at any time. Disabling a permission may limit or disable the related feature (for example, disabling local network access may prevent device discovery).
6. Children's Privacy
UniReto is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as UniReto's features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
